Kelly Sport
Wow, was that Kelly Sport? What a way to start the day! Kelly Sport keeps us going in the morning. It is a fantastic sports crew who do lots of different activities.
There were six sporting events. They were throwing the ball and seeing how many times you could clap before you catch it, soccer, bowling, fishing (throwing a ball and catching it in a net) and rugby.
The soccer was funny to watch because after we had dribbled it around the cones we had to pick it up, throw it in the air and hit it with our bottom. It looked hilarious!
Kelly Sport is going to be coming to our school every Tuesday afternoon for a after school program. What fun that will be!

Hands-On Homework
This term we are learning about living a healthy life-style. That is about eating well and keeping active.
Your challenge this week is to create a poster or advertisement to encourage others to eat healthily and to keep active. You could use photos, puppet pals, make a movie or come up with any other creative way to get your message across to others. Think about what people can do to live a healthy life-style.

Hands-On Homework
This weeks hands-on homework is to do something active everyday. This could be:
- running
- biking
- walking
- skipping
- take your dog for a walk/run
- swimming
- playing a game in your back yard
- climbing trees
It is important to keep ourselves active to be fit and healthy. We are also training for the cross country which is in week 4, so being active each day will help us with this also.
Don't forget to send me your photos of you being active! And have FUN!

Hands-On Homework
While we were at the marae I noticed that you were all very good at working together and helping with the different jobs that needed to be done. I particularly noticed that people loved helping in the kitchen to get the meals ready.
So, this weeks hands-on homework is to help cook a meal for your family. It's a lot of fun to make a meal, especially when you're working together with someone else.
Don't forget to send me pictures of the amazing meals you make!
